The Great British Food Festival is coming to Wokingham Borough for the first time this summer.
The iconic foodie event will take place on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 June at Dinton Pastures Country Park in Hurst, bringing an amazing selection of food, drinks, and entertainment to residents.
The event will be offering a delicious variety of cuisines ranging from flavours much loved in the UK to new ideas from abroad, popular bar drinks including non-alcoholic ones, and non-stop live music on stage. There will also be an artisan market showcasing an array of local, seasonal and specialty produce.
Residents will be able to take part in exciting gourmet activities like a cake-baking competition, food challenges and demonstrations by former ‘Great British Bake off’ contestant Sandy Docherty and BBC Food contributor Marni Xuto.
Executive member for environment sport and leisure Cllr Ian Shenton said: “The Great British Food Festival is one of the nation’s favourites and we’re looking forward to hosting the Berkshire edition for the first time at our flagship country park.
“It’s an event for the whole family to enjoy. It’ll be bringing to our doorsteps a celebration of diverse gastronomic delights and experiences, so be sure to save the dates and not to miss it!”
