A new library is set to open in Twyford offering a large and welcoming space for people in the local community.
Opening in the old town hall, the new facility will feature a new space featuring a large main library and a specially designed children’s area occupying a secondary space just off the main hall.
With hopes to make the facility more accessible, a new entrance will be added to the extension just off Polehampton Close.
The leader of the council, Cllr Stephen Conway has said that after sitting empty for many years, it will breathe life back into the old community space.
He added: “There’s still a lot of work to be completed before the library can move into the new home, but the site is a hive of activity and our contractors, CTS, are doing a fabulous job getting it ready to open soon.
The council hopes is to have the new library open by the May half-term so families can come along and try the new facility for themselves.
