A charming Bracknell pub has reopened with a stunning transformation to both its interior and exterior this month.
Located on Nine Mile Ride, The Golden Retriever, is a popular restaurant and pub offering a cosy, relaxed and dog-friendly environment.
Its latest transformation pays homage to the traditional roots and picturesque location of the Golden Retriever whilst also breathing new life into the historic building.
The revamp gives the pub a fresh contemporary feel with notable changes to its décor and layout.
The outdoor pergola has been given a chic makeover making it the perfect place to get together with friends and family.
Commenting on the pub’s new look, General Manager, Brandon Walker said: “We’re absolutely delighted to welcome both our regulars and first-time guests to experience the Golden Retriever's new, refreshed look.
“Whether you're seeking a picturesque setting to enjoy high-quality dining or a cosy spot by the fire to enjoy a drink, our pub has it all."
Historically, there is some speculation surrounding the origin of The Golden Retriever, with the original building predating planning legislation. It is believed that the original site, which was said to be a forester’s cottage dating back to 1841, was later developed into dog kennels (hence the name!).
To this day, the Golden Retriever proudly serves as a central hub for the local community and continues to welcome furry friends, making it the perfect pit-stop for dog owners, before, during, or after a leisurely country walk.
