Ongoing work on the M4 will once again cause closures this week.

Motorists are being encouraged to check travel times and plan ahead of future closures.

This week the M4 will be closed westbound overnight on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

As a result, motorists won't be able to travel from Junction 11 to Junction 12 from 9pm to 6am.

The closures will once again be repeated during the week commencing June 3 - through to June 8.

National Highways have said the closures are for "structural work".

Further closures are in place toward Hungerford, where the M4 westbound from Junction 11 to 12 will see lane closures from 9pm to 6am weekly.

Meanwhile, near Wokingham, the Junction 10 westbound slip road will be closed from June 11 at 10pm until June 13 at 7am for "inspection and survey".

National Highways have previously shared how they will be carrying out repairs on the Burghfield Road Bridge including replacing the existing paint system and refurbishing the bridge bearings, to ensure it remains in a safe condition.

At the same time, the road network overseer hopes to begin adding more emergency lay-bys to the smart motorway system.
