A new soft play area in Bracknell has gone from strength to strength since its opening one month ago.
Play World launched in Bracknell Leisure Centre on Sunday, May 5 as part of the £1.6m refurbishment by Bracknell Forest Council and Everyone Active.
Since then, they have welcomed 5,476 children into the interactive multi-level jungle-themed structure and indoor football area.
The refurbishment project included the addition of a new spin studio, wellness studio and two refurbished squash courts, plus a total renovation of the spa.
Mark Tennant, Contract Manager at Everyone Active, said, "We are incredibly proud of the refurbishments at Bracknell Leisure Centre and believe that these enhancements are essential in providing even more opportunities for the community to stay active and improve their well-being.
“We are delighted to unveil the final piece of our renovation puzzle—the spectacular new spa. The before-and-after pictures speak volumes about the stunning transformation, and we are confident our members will thoroughly enjoy the new facilities.
“One month in, the overwhelming popularity of the soft play area and the new group exercise studios has surpassed our expectations. We are immensely proud of these additions and the positive impact they are having on our community."
Since their launch, the upgraded facilities have proven exceptionally popular. The new group cycle studio has already hosted 113 spin classes, attracting 1,956 participants.
Meanwhile, the wellness studio has seen 116 classes, with 2,327 members engaging in activities like yoga and pilates.
Two new party rooms and seating areas were added in the soft play area, to provide spaces for birthdays and other celebrations, as well as a new café offering hot and cold food and beverages.
Damian James, assistant director of contract services for Bracknell Forest Council, said: “We are thrilled to bring these fantastic new facilities to Bracknell Leisure Centre. Together with Everyone Active, we are committed to providing an exciting and top-quality soft play as well as new and improved health and wellbeing amenities.
“We appreciate the patience and support of everyone during the renovation period and thank you for helping make the openings of these facilities a huge success. We can’t wait to welcome more and more visitors. There really is something for everyone to enjoy!”
