A musical theatre group in Bracknell recently wowed attendees with their brand-new musical venture.

Founded in 1952 EBOS have been creating award-winning theatre, entertaining the local community for over 60 years.

Their aim is to bring high quality theatre to the public and further the development and appreciation of the arts.

From June 5 to June 8 the EBOS team performed their Sizzling Summer Nights a musical cabaret, at Pinewood Theatre.

A spokesperson for EBOS  said the following statement: "Featuring songs such as 'Summertime', 'Song of Purple Summer', 'Summer in Ohio' and 'Seasons of Love,' the cabaret was simply 'Too Darn Hot."

This comes as the company recently put on their own production of the Broadway classic 'Gypsy: A Musical Fable.'

Set in the 1920s, Gypsy told the story of “Mama” Rose, as she strives to lead her daughters to stardom.

The performance was set against the backdrop of vaudeville, burlesque and a country close to the brink of depression.

It followed the dreams and struggles of Rose to raise her two daughters June and Louise from young girls to women as they perform onstage up and down the country.

The show is based on the autobiography 'Gypsy: Memoirs of America’s Most Celebrated Stripper' published by Rose’s real life daughter Louise.

'Gypsy: A Musical Fable' is frequently considered one of the crowning achievements of the mid-twentieth century's conventional musical theatre.

It is to this day still referred to as one of the greatest American musical of all time.
