Two suspects from across Berkshire have been arrested amid investigations into organised crime throughout Thames Valley.

On Tuesday, June 11, police carried out five warrants at addresses across Wokingham, West Berkshire, and Hampshire following intelligence and information from the public.

A 21-year-old man from Wokingham and a 45-year-old woman from Thatcham were among those arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit burglary.

The man from Wokingham was also arrested for conspiracy to commit theft.

Senior investigating officer Detective Inspector Francesca Jarvis said “There is a lot of work going on behind the scenes to help tackle organised criminality. I hope that these warrants demonstrate that we take reports of burglary seriously and will take action to deal with criminality and organised crime in your local area.

“The information from the public around offences relating to burglary and theft in the Thames Valley plays an important role in developing intelligence into a proactive investigation.

“If you have any further information we would encourage you to report it to us by calling 101 or through the online reporting via our website.”

Alongside the two suspects from Berkshire, a 29-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man from Hampshire were arrested on the same charges.

All suspects remain in police custody at this time.
