A pest control technician has been fined hundreds after getting caught speeding - but was allowed to keep his licence.
Colin Crabtree, 51, of Highfield Park, Wargrave, drove at Henley-on-Thames at a speed exceeding the 40mph limit on August 25 last year.
A police officer spotted him, and he was summoned to High Wycombe Magistrates' Court for May 1, 2024.
There, he pleaded guilty to a charge of speeding.
For this, he was was fined £284, and has been ordered to pay back £90 in prosecution costs.
He must also pay a £114 victim surcharge.
This means that Crabtree owes the court a total of £488.
Magistrates chose not to strip the defendant of his licence.
Justifying this decision, they cited his work in pest control, which required regular access to a vehicle.
