A brand new nursery, Monkey Puzzle Wokingham, has opened in the heart of the town, providing 73 places for children from 3 months to 5 years.

The nursery, which emphasises learning through play, has been divided into specific areas catering to babies, tweenies, toddlers and preschool children.

The nursery hosted its Launch Day on May 15, 2024, inviting the local community to join their team in celebrating the grand opening of the nursery.

The official ribbon-cutting ceremony was performed by the Town Mayor, Rob Comer and Cllr Adrian Mathers.

In addition to providing early years education, Monkey Puzzle Wokingham is also offering career opportunities for the local area, actively recruiting for roles including Unqualified Nursery Practitioners, Qualified Nursery Practitioners and Preschool Teacher.

Dilpreet Singh, Nursery Owner said: "It has felt like a dream come true… I have always had an interest in education, back at home, as a child there was always a lack in teaching subjects, like Literacy.

"After only a few visits to the nursery settings, immediately I knew this is what I can do and would love to do.

"My goal is to attract more people to work in this sector, and to support the fantastic team at Monkey Puzzle Wokingham on their career journeys.

"We have a very experienced and versatile team to provide high-quality care to Wokingham families!"

The nursery, registered with Ofsted, will officially open its doors to local families from June 3, 2024, operating between 7.30am and 6.30pm, Monday to Friday for 51 weeks per year.

Local families are invited to secure their places at the nursery.
