A prominent amusement centre, High Score Arcades, is all set to launch its most sizable arcade yet at The Lexicon.
Taking place on Saturday, July 20, 2024, the grand opening promises an array of entertainment, boasting both classic and modern games that visitors can enjoy in 60-minute pre-paid, unlimited sessions.
It is set to move into the former Argos unit in Princess Square after the store closed in 2020.
Partakers can look forward to a special 'cutting of the ribbon' ceremony, appearances from beloved characters Mario and Luigi, as well as a chance to win prizes at the spin-the-wheel station.
"Our mission is to create a space where everyone can enjoy the joy of gaming, whether reliving their childhood favourites or discovering new ones," says group manager, Nicki Gamblin.
Rob Morris, general manager at The Lexicon, also expressed enthusiasm, citing last year's successful GAME ON! event as confidence in High Score's potential.
This marks the sixth High Score arcade, joining the likes of Poole, Southampton, Farnborough, Swindon, and Newbury.
