More than 520 people took part in this year's Wokingham Bikeathon, which My Journey Wokingham team are proud to support.

The event started and finished at Cantley Park in Wokingham town, offering four routes of between 15 and 51 miles plus a 2.5-mile Kidical Mass children's ride.

Finishers were awarded a My Journey branded medal, and the team were there all day to give sustainable travel advice and guide novice riders around the 15-mile route.

Visitors could try out the team's smoothie-making bike or pick up a reusable water bottle.

Lots of community groups were there including Sprockets Cycle Club, who ran a children's obstacle course, as well as Wokingham Cycling Club, the 1st Emmbrook Scouts, Thames Valley Police, Headway Thames Valley and more.

Congratulations to the Bikeathon organisers for another successful event, which was raising money for the Wokingham Foodbank who do miraculous work helping people in need in the local community.

Wokingham Bikeathon is a not for profit organisation run by volunteers and supported by local businesses, charities and organisations who work tirelessly.

Run by a small Committee headed up by Stan Hetherington, the event first ran in 2008 with just 143 riders and has gone from strength to strength attracting entry numbers nearing a thousand over recent years.

Every year, we are delighted to have the support of the My Journey Wokingham Team but, since 2016, we have also been lucky enough to have local business, Rodger Duckworth Physiotherapy support us as our Main Sponsor!
