Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward following an incident of sexual assault in Bracknell.

The incident occurred at around 3.10am July 7 at the Running Horse Roundabout.

Two teenage girls were walking along the foot and cycle path on the same side as the Bracknell Health Space.

One of the girls fell over and they were approached by an unknown man who comes from the underpass.

The unknown man attempts to pick up the fallen girl before pushing the other girl against the bushes on the footpath and sexually assaulted her.

The man then left in the direction of Bracknell Health Space.

The offender is described as a white man aged between 20 and 30-years old. He was between 5ft 5ins and 5ft 6ins tall and had light stubble facial hair. He was wearing a black or dark blue baseball cap worn backwards with the peak at the back, a dark blue England football shirt and dark blue shorts.

Investigating officer Detective Inspector Stuart Streeter, said: “This was a distressing incident for the 17-year-old victim and we are providing ongoing support to them.

“We are ensuring that we have an enhanced police presence within the area with extra uniformed patrols and a number of detectives conducting enquiries.

“We are carrying out a robust investigation in order to locate the offender following this incident and are appealing for anyone with any information to please contact the force.
