Plans for a high-end European restaurant coming to Crowthorne have been revealed.
The new eatery, which will serve modern European cuisine, is taking over the premises of Triple BBB’s Smokehouse following their closure in 2023.
But locals have expressed concern over the most recent application to play live music late at night on weekends.
Whether the restaurant can play live music after 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays will be decided by Bracknell Forest Council’s (BFC) licensing committee on Tuesday, July 23.
Live performances would be for diners to enjoy alongside their food, including a live saxophonist, or violinist. Owners have also applied to have performances take place on public holidays like Christmas and New Year’s Eve.
It will also be decided whether they can supply alcohol from during service hours.
But people that live close to the premises have expressed ‘total disbelief’ that live music is being considered.
One who’s back patio backs onto the venue wrote that she was ‘concerned’ about ‘loud music late at night’.
It will serve around 100 customers per service.
She also complained that there was little area for customers to park which would overcrowd already overflowing parking.
Another wrote: “I do not believe that another late license business will be good for the community of Crowthorne.”
The restaurant is already underway development, after having an application for a glass window seating area approved earlier this month. They will also put a garden onto the roof of the property.
