A house fire was dealt with today after two patrolling police officers stumbled upon the scene.
A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police said that PC Holly Smith & PCSO Lisa Wiggins came across a house fire whilst out on patrol in Arborfield.
The fire has now been put out by the Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service.
No people were harmed in this incident and is not being treated as suspicious.
The police have released a statement of public advise saying that people should keep doors and windows closed of neighbouring properties as there is a likelihood of smoke in the air.
