A free shuttle bus has been organised for residents during a road closure in Bracknell which will affect local transport links.
SGN has announced that they will be conducting essential and complex engineering gas replacement works on Sandhurst Road from Saturday, July 27 to Sunday, August 4.
Although diversion routes will be put in place for cars and HGV’s, the works will impact bus passengers on the 194 route between Bracknell train station and Camberly.
The shuttle bus will transport passengers to The Meadows where they can access the normal 194 bus towards Camberly and Bracknell.
How will the 194 route run
Towards Camberley, the bus will run normally as far as Crowthorne High Street, and serve a temporary bus stop near the Fire Station. From there, the main 194 will divert directly to Owlsmoor, Sandhurst School, and will not be able to serve stops at Iron Duke, Edgbarrow School, Longdown Road, Harts Leap Close, Sandhurst Station or Library, Wellington Road, Rackstraw Inn and Evenlode Way.
Towards Bracknell, after leaving Sandhurst School, the 194 will divert directly to the temporary bus stop near the Fire Station on Crowthorne High Street, then to the usual bus stop at The Prince to resume the normal route to Bracknell.
The shuttle buses will run from 6am to 8:30pm from July 27 to August 4 during the road closure.
