Police are searching for a ‘very pale and very skinny’ man who tried to grab a teenager and pull her away with him at a train station.
The incident happened on the footbridge by Earley station at around 5:10pm on Friday, July 26.
The woman, who is in her late teens, was walking over the bridge when the man approached her, tried to talk to her, then “grabbed her wrists and tried to pull her with him”.
She resisted and another woman at the scene helped to chase off the offender by shouting at him.
Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses to the incident and any information about the whereabouts of the man.
He is described as white and in his thirties with “very pale skin” and a “very skinny” frame.
He is reportedly around 5 ft 10 ins tall, has wrinkles around his eyes, flaky blonde thinning hair and stubble and was wearing a light grey hoodie and dark grey jogging bottoms.
Investigating officer, Detective Constable Helen Lord said: “Following the report of this incident we are conducting a number of enquiries.
“We are aware that at this time the woman who intervened in this incident has not yet come forward. She is described as a white woman possibly in her 50s, wearing a black/dark t-shirt and carrying a flowery backpack, possibly made by Cath Kidston.

“Or you if you have information or recognise the man by his description then please get in touch. You can also provide information through our online pages again quoting 43240356978.
“Members of the public may see an increased police presence while we investigate, and increased patrols have been put in place.”
