An industrial estate and a bus shelter are in this week’s round-up of planning applications and decisions at Bracknell Forest and Wokingham Borough councils.
You can view each one by going to the council’s planning website and searching for the application number provided.
Bracknell: Watchmoor Park (23/1100/FFU)
Bracknell Forest Council has been asked for its opinions on changes to already approved plans for several large warehouses on the border of the borough.
Plans to build a huge warehouse along with 19,000 square metres of other industrial or logistics buildings at Watchmoor Park, near Sandhurst, were approved by Surrey Heath Borough Council in June this year.
But now developers want to change the layout of the site to reduce the number of electric vehicle charging points. Bracknell Forest Council has been asked to submit comments as the site is not far from Sandhurst.
Bracknell: school fence (24/00505/OBS)
Bracknell Forest Council has said it doesn’t object to plans by a Crowthorne school to build a new fence.
Our Lady’s Preparatory School on the Avenue in Crowthorne wants permission to build a new west boundary fence after partially demolishing its current one.
The school is on land in Wokingham Borough but access to the site would be via The Avenue, a road in Bracknell Forest.
Bracknell Forest Council planning officers say they don’t believe the new fence would harm the character of the area or harm the amenity of its residents.
Bracknell: outbuilding and garage (24/00459/LDC)
A man has applied for permission to continue using the outbuilding of a house as a separate home and commercial garage.
Planning permission was never granted for the conversion of the outbuilding on Branksome Hill Road in Sandhurst. But planning law says permission should be granted if it had already been used this way for ten years or more.
A statement written by ET Planning consultant says the outbuilding has been used as a commercial garage for ten years and as a home for four years.
Wokingham: bus shelter advert (241765)
Plans to instal an illuminated digital advertising screen on the side of a bus shelter on broad street have been withdrawn.
Trueform Engineering submitted the planning application to install the screens on the bus shelter outside The Flower Corner on behalf of its client, which it named as ‘Wokingham Council’.
But some neighbours objected, arguing that the advert would be out of keeping with the rest of Broad Street and could be a dangerous distraction to drivers and pedestrians.
