Bracknell NHPT and Roads Policing have been targeting crime in Swinley Forest to ensure the safety of nearby residents.
The aim of the operation is to target ASB within Swinley Forest and to engage and discourage the use of both petrol and electric motorbikes (which are not allowed within the Crown Estate footprint).
Whilst patrolling the Lower Broadmoor Road in Crowthorne, PC Wildridge identified a vehicle of interest, detaining three males. They were searched and one was found to be in possession of cannabis. A 22 year old male has been issued a Community Resolution for drugs possession.
On July 16 2024, PC Wildridge was patrolling the forest when he located five youths who had lit a fire . Three ran, but were subsequently detained.
This comes as Swinley Forest saw a huge fire back in 2011, with hundreds of hectares of land near Crowthorne and Winkfield affected by the great blaze.
