Hundreds of hard-working students across Bracknell, Wokingham, and Ascot celebrated their A-level results after years of diligent study.

On Thursday, August 15, local schools highlighted the exceptional performance, noting their pride in the students' achievements amidst unprecedented challenges.

Bracknell Forest Council has acknowledged the students across Bracknell, predicting that their overall A-level pass rates are above the national average.

A spokesperson for the council highlighted the students' resilience amidst learning disruption due to the pandemic.

Wokingham Borough Council added that its students received above-average results in the exams.

Nearly 1,000 students sat for their A-level exams with over 78% achieving grades A* to C, higher than the national average of 76%.

Among the notable outcomes were students at Ascot-based Charters School where all six Oxbridge-bound students achieved the required grades.

Charters School said: "Despite the unprecedented challenges faced by this cohort they have shown remarkable determination and adaptability.

"Their results are a testament to their hard work and the support provided by our staff."

Mrs Hill, Head of Sixth Form at Charters School, celebrated her student's successes, saying: "It has been wonderful to celebrate the successes of our Year 13 students this morning.

"The overwhelming majority of Year 13 students secured the university of their choice.

"They began writing their future at Charters Sixth Form and are in excellent positions to continue the future they choose."

LVS Ascot also boasted impressive results with a pass rate of 97.3%, marking an increase from the previous year's 96% pass rate.

Christine Cunniffe, the school's Principal, commended the students for reflecting their academic prowess and resilience.

She said: "These achievements are a testament to their hard work, as well as the unwavering support of our dedicated teachers and staff."

Bracknell and Wokingham College celebrated a 97.8% pass rate, an improvement of 6.3% from last year, while 11 out of 13 A-Level subjects at the college achieved 100% pass rates.

T Levels, a newly offered qualification in Business: Management and Administration and Health: Adult Nursing, saw an increase in students with higher grades.

Cheri Ashby, Deputy Chief Executive Officer at Activate Learning, commended the students for their achievement.

She said: "Our teachers bring their industry knowledge and expertise to enrich our students' learning and their dedication and commitment to supporting our students is inspiring."

Among the top performers was Mia Hawkins, who achieved a Merit grade and secured an offer from the University of Surrey to study Midwifery.

She said: "I feel good about my results.

"I’m excited to go to the University of Surrey to study Midwifery."
