An exciting new bubble tea store is coming to Wokingham town centre.
MooBoo Bubble Tea is set to take over the premises of the former Blueberry Toys unit in Denmark Street.
The Taiwanese delicacy has grown in popularity in the UK over the last few decades since first invented in the 1980s.
Customers can choose from a variety of flavours of tea, including fruit and milk based, as well as chewy tapioca balls, also in a wide range of flavours.
Fruit based flavours include refreshing mango, passionfruit, strawberry and watermelon. For the more traditional milk-tea based beverages, customers can choose from matcha, taro, strawberry, honeydew, and many more.
Customers can also add ‘popping balls’, traditional tapioca jelly, or flavoured jelly, which come in a variety of fruity flavours.
Mocktails including a non-alcoholic pina colada, raspberry ‘nojito’ and watermelon martini will also be available.
MooBoo is the UK’s largest bubble tea franchise in the UK, with more than 100 locations nationwide. The company claims that it is ‘not just a bubble tea brand’, but a ‘holistic experience that is meant to evoke a sense of passion, happiness and connectedness in every sip’.
The company opened it’s first branch in the Camden, London, in 2012.
The new Wokingham branch joins three already in Berkshire, including in Reading, Camberley and Farnborough.
Signs for the new store have appeared outside 13 Denmark Street in Wokingham Town Centre.
It comes after Blueberry Toys closed its doors in August 2023. It is not known yet when the new bubble tea store will open.
