Pupils across the town have done immensely well after today, GSCE Results Day 2024, it was revealed that they achieved an exceptional number of grades.
Stellar success for The Marist girls as they celebrate excellent GCSE results! It was smiles all round today as students at The Marist School, Ascot celebrated another year of impressive GCSE results.
A remarkable 68% of girls gained grades 9 - 7 across a wide range of academic subjects. A quarter of all grades achieved by this talented year group were at grade 9, a 4% increase on the 2023 results.
Pupils at independent day and boarding school, LVS Ascot, where pupils are inspired to exceed expectations, are celebrating an amazing set of GCSE exam results. 91% of all results at LVS Ascot were grades 4-9 this year and top grades are up significantly in comparison to last year, with 26% of grades being 9 to 8 (20.4% in 2023).
The remarkable success of this year’s results reflects pupils’ hard work and determination, as well as the high standards of academic excellence and specialist subject teachers at LVS Ascot. 13% of grades were grade 9 and four of our pupils achieved 9 x grade 9 grades.
Heathfield School Ascot – rated ‘Excellent’ across all areas by the Independent Schools Inspectorate – is applauding all its GCSE students and staff for their hard work, drive and commitment, reflected in this year’s outstanding achievements.
Students are celebrating having surpassed their predicted grades by a wide margin, with a value added score1 of 1.32 higher than the predicted grades in each subject. This was reflected in great results across the board, including 30% of all grades awarded at 9 or 8, and half of all grades awarded at 9-7.
Stand out performances include:
Kokoro, who as well as excelling in her studies with six 9s and an A in Additional Maths (equivalent to A-level) completed a medical internship as a volunteer in Nepal, shadowing GPs, surgeons and nurses as they did ward rounds, performed operations and general primary care. This summer she is continuing with her volunteering in Tanzania.
Sushi, scored an outstanding five 9s, four 8s and an A in Additional Maths, while being totally immersed in all other aspects of school, in particular drama and sport.
Annabel celebrated her academic talents with top marks in Maths, Photography and PE, alongside competing at national level in sport.
And Mafalda - who initially joined the school for just one year in Year 7, but loved it so much she stayed - achieved excellence with six 9s, four 8s and a B in Additional Maths.
