Windsor & Eton Brewery has scooped up four awards at the SIBA Independent Beer Awards, bringing its tally for the year to 17.

The awards event, which recognises high quality beers across a variety of styles, took place on August 23 in London.

A diverse panel of judges from the brewing industry sampled tipples from all across the country.

Windsor & Eton Brewery won gold for Caught By the Fuzz in the Special IPA's (Keg) category; another gold for Republika in the Premium Lagers (Keg) category; silver for Sligo Bay in the Cask Session Dark Beers category; and bronze for Diablo Rojo in the Continental Style Beers (Keg) category.

Paddy Johnson, production director, said: "It’s gratifying to see our beers recognised once again in such a respected competition.

"Winning across various categories highlights the hard work and skill of our brewing team in the breadth of styles we are known for.

"Despite being a small brewery, these awards show we are competing at the highest level both in the UK and internationally.

"Earlier in the year, we won six awards at the International Beer Awards, so we are respected both locally and internationally.

"These endorsements are especially significant in today’s challenging market and help WEBREW to remain successful through being focussed on our beer quality and range."

Santiago Bello, head brewer, said: "Our brewers work incredibly hard to make sure that each beer we make is something we can be proud of.

"This year we are looking to see the biggest haul of awards yet, and it is so rewarding to know that experts across the industry are recognising the hard work and creativity that goes into every brew.

"It is especially exciting when a brand new recipe like Sligo Bay receives such acclaim."
