A talented teenager who 'lit up the room' with his personality took his life in a secluded area close to his home just days after Christmas, an inquest heard.
Sixteen-year-old Nathaniel Hill was last seen on a Ring door bell camera leaving his mother's home in Bracknell at 4:47am on December 29 last year.
The promising young boxer, described as a fitness fanatic, had taken himself to a wooded area on Scott Terrace where he took his life, the coroner was told at an inquest into his death on Tuesday, September 3.
Hours later, he was found by a member of the public. The cause of death was found to be a cut to his neck.
Berkshire coroner Heidi Connor heard that the young boxer's behaviour had changed shortly before Christmas, which was "concerning".
Detective Inspector Laura Al-Owaied of Thames Valley Police, told an inquest: "Gemma (his mother) called police on December 29 last year and told us that Nathaniel was missing.
"Gemma gave a very useful summary of her concerns."
The officer said there had been no reason to believe there was any third-party involvement in Nathaniel's suicide.

In a statement Gemma described her son as a charismatic and talented boxer.
The statement, read out by Mrs Connor, said: "Nathaniel was extremely charismatic and had bundles of personality. He could light up a room in seconds with his contagious and charming smile.
"He was a fitness fanatic, he would train most days and was a talented boxer."
The teenager was also described as a lover of food and had a talent for coming up with nicknames for others.
The statement added om a tribute to her son: "In the hearts of those that love you, you will always be there."
Mrs Connor said: "The person who knew Nathaniel best, his mother, believes this was a deliberate act, citing his change in behaviour and his mental health history."
The coroner concluded that Nathaniel's death was caused by injuries to his neck.
