Six employees from Frimley Health visited 10 Downing Street to be honoured for their exceptional achievements at work.
Silvia, Emma, Sophia, Sala, Josie, and Brett attended a special reception where Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer delivered a speech of recognition.
During the visit, Silvia, a recent award recipient at the Trust’s Value into Practice Awards, participated in an insightful half-hour conversation with the Prime Minister.
She revealed, "I wasn’t expecting to represent the hospital, or A&E in general, it felt a big thing on my shoulders."
Silvia used this opportunity to emphasise the importance of effective leadership, especially in healthcare settings.
"If you have the right structure, with good matrons and senior matrons, then when problems arise, we can adapt," she stated.
The PM was described as approachable and responsive, showing keen interest in Silvia's views on leadership.
Silvia added, "He said from what he had heard, he had things to think about and things to change."
