The National Trust is gearing up for the Christmas season with a host of days out across Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, and Oxfordshire.
With beautifully decorated historic houses, twinkling lights, and festive markets, the National Trust promises a delightful escape into the heart of Christmas.
Visitors can expect a taste of Christmas past at Hughenden, Waddesdon, Basildon Park, and Greys Court, while Stowe Gardens and Cliveden offer outdoor festivities.
Richard Grudzinski, experiences curator at the National Trust, said: "The great thing about a National Trust Christmas is that everything you want in a Christmas is done for you, from trees, decorations, festive food, and cosy spaces to reconnect with family and friends."
Hughenden is set to transform into a Nordic-inspired winter wonderland from November 25 to January 3, complete with candlelit interiors and scenes from Norse mythology.
Families can also enjoy a garden activity trail based on the Nordic fairytale, The Little Fir Tree.
Waddesdon will be celebrating the tale of Sleeping Beauty from November 15 to January 5, with animated projections on the manor's facade, and a glowing light trail in the garden.
Visitors can also enjoy the charming Christmas Market and the Food Village.
Basildon Park celebrates its 20 years as a film location with a tribute to classic Christmas films from November 16 to January 5.
Each decorated room will give a nod to a different Christmas movie, as the park will display more trees, more garlands, and a video village for the chance to get involved.
Greys Court is turning up the glamour from November 23 to January 5, offering a 1930s Christmas experience, and the garden will also be adorned with outsize baubles and twinkling lights.
Stowe Gardens will feature a giant Christmas tree and festive activities from November 30 to January 6. Visitors can also explore the Wish HQ Sorting Office, go on a festive adventure around New Inn and the Gardens, and enjoy a 'wish upon a star' installation in the Temple of Venus.
Cliveden offers a winter trail from November 23 to January 5, along with cosy treats at the Conservatory Café and seasonal finds in the gift shop.
Chastleton invites visitors to experience a 1960s Christmas from November 27 to December 15 (Wednesdays to Sundays), while Claydon offers Christmas tours on selected dates in November (28, 29 and 30) and December (5, 12, 13, 14).
