A bid to convert a garage into two residential flats has been refused by Wokingham Borough Council.
Owners of 14 Wyatt Crescent in Earley wanted to convert their annex into two flats next to their main home, along with associated parking and landscaping.
But plans were rejected after council officers ruled that there would be a lack of internal space which fails to meet national standards.
There was also insufficient information submitted over plans for parking.
Bracknell Forest Council: 24/00451/FUL
Wooden Hill Primary School has been given the green light to build a ‘Nurture Room’.
This would comprise a new building on the school grounds in Great Hollands.
Bracknell Forest Council granted planning permission and it is not known when construction of the building will start.

A bid to lawfully convert a property into a garage for commercial use has been refused by Bracknell Forest Council.
A resident applied for a certificate of lawfulness to use parts of 114 Branksome Hill Road in Sandhurst as business for car repairs, and to use the outhouse as a residential space. It had already been used in this way since 2019.
This would become 114a on Branksome Hill Road.
While Sandhurst Parish Council raised no objections, the plans were refused by Bracknell Forest Council as evidence showed it had already been used in this way for more than four years, which is over the legal requirement for application.

The outdoor climbing wall at Oakwood Youth centre will have a cover added.
Bracknell Forest Council approved plans for a stretch tent style canopy over the wall so it can be used even in wet weather.
The youth centre on Waterloo Road provides a variety of outdoor adventure activities including high ropes, archery and abseiling.
Wokingham Borough Council: 241852
A new dental surgery will be opening in Wokingham Town centre after being granted approval by Wokingham Borough Council.
An application was made for the Red Cross Centre at 53a Denmark Street to be turned into a dentist.
The building has been used by the Red Cross since the 1920s and was historically used as an orthopaedic clinic for veterans from the First World War.
Since the 1980s, it has been used by the Red Cross for its regional headquarters.
It is not known where the Red Cross offices will move to.
