West Oak care home residents in Wokingham enjoyed a virtual tour of The Cornish Seal Sanctuary.
Hosted by the Sanctuary's Education & Guest Experience Supervisor, Rebecca Langston, they discovered the sanctuary's mission of rescuing ailing seal pups from the Cornish coastline and rehabilitating them for return to the wild.
The residents met some of the sanctuary's seals and heard their rescue stories.
Rebecca Langston said: "It was wonderful to show the Barchester residents around our sanctuary and share the important work our brilliant teams do."
Bex Vernon, Resident Experience Executive for Barchester Healthcare, noted the venture as a part of their wide-ranging life enrichment program.
Simona, General Manager also expressed joy over their residents’ interest.
"It was brilliant to ask Rebecca all about their important work rescuing the seals," Simona noted.
West Oak is part of Barchester Healthcare, promising high-quality care.
