Seven students from Years 9-13 spent their summer at the Royal County of Berkshire Army Cadet Forces Annual Summer Camp in York.
At the Queen Elizabeth Barracks, Strensall, they took part in activities such as climbing, shooting, archery, axe throwing, and navigation.
They also interacted with members of the Norwegian Home Guard, who joined them for a training exchange programme.
The summer camp was also a time of rewards for four Charters' students who were promoted for their outstanding performance.
Cadet Lance Corporals Emma and Ava, both in Year 11, were rewarded, as well as Cadet Colour Sergeants Hannah and Kirsten from Year 13.
Meanwhile, Cadets Zak, Ben, and Oli from Year 9 completed their air rifle qualifications.
Among these, Hannah's other pursuits were highlighted, "During my time in the Army Cadet Force, I have taken part in adventurous training exercises such as canoeing, climbing, and biking," she said.
She also expressed her future aspirations as she said, "I hope to use my time in the Army Cadets to support my future aims of going to university and then commissioning into the Royal Navy as an Intelligence Officer."
