A Bracknell school has maintained its overall effectiveness as ‘Good’ following their latest Ofsted inspection.
Inspectors visited Fox Hill Primary School, located on Pond Moor Road, on June 25 and June 26.
They praised and acknowledged the school's continued effort to provide quality education and a healthy, conducive environment promoting pupils’ personal development and growth.
Describing the qualities of the school, an inspector noted, "Each pupil has their own special place in the ‘Fox Hill family’. Pupils are valued for their strengths and individual personalities considering active roles like eco and reading councils, sports leaders, and values ambassadors."
Pupils partake in community and environmental projects like gardening and reading to seniors at local care homes, encouraging a sense of respect and pride.
Their behaviour around the campus was cited as respectful and calm.
The school's ambition for each pupil was commended, ensuring each pupil is provided with the right pastoral and academic support.
When approached by Ofsted inspectors, parents highlighted the school’s dedication and achievements saying: “The school is fantastic and really supports each child as an individual’.
Fox Hill Primary School has set its sights on strengthening the early years curriculum, caught up by COVID-19 related learning gaps.
Leaders have aimed to prepare children not only academically but for their personal development, making sure every pupil reads fluently and encourages them to enjoy books.
Concurrently, the curriculum offers exposure to inspirational professionals from various fields to connect learning within the school and to inspire pupils' future aspirations.
Headteacher, Miss Lane, proudly commented on the accomplishment.
She said: "We are incredibly proud of this positive achievement, which is a testament to the care and commitment of our staff, the support of our parents and carers, and of course a celebration of our wonderful children.”
Despite the achievements, the school is ambitious to do better.
The headteacher added: "Although there are huge positives to be taken, both from the report and the inspection process itself, we are still deeply ambitious to continue to improve."
Specific improvements have been suggested concerning some areas of the wider curriculum where clearer understanding of what pupils know and remember is needed.
Concluding her remarks, Miss Lane expressed gratitude.
She said: "I would like to thank the Governors, Leaders and staff for all of their dedication and hard work, our parents and carers for their support and strength of partnership, and to our wonderful children, who as always embodied the absolute best of our school."
Ensuring the safety and overall wellbeing, Fox Hill Primary School continues to strive for excellence, nurturing its pupils in a safe, inclusive environment, providing a well-rounded education.
