A local Crowthorne designer, Joanna Day, has unveiled Byzantium's latest collection at London Fashion Week.
Hosted by Fashion Represents, the show took place at the National Liberal Club on September 13.
Joanna's clothes were presented alongside other brands including Laura Tailor, Jemima Concept, Irosha, and NKB.
Renowned for her unique designs, Joanna draws inspiration from the opulence of ancient Byzantium.
Her collection, which boasted rich jewel-toned emeralds and radiant golds, captured the grandeur of Byzantium aesthetics.
Moreover, each piece was meticulously upcycled, hand-beaded, and embroidered, thus reflecting her commitment to sustainability.
Designer Joanna Day said: "It's absolutely everything for me to show at London Fashion Week.
"It's been a dream since I was a little girl."
She also disclosed that she spent months preparing for the collection, collecting jewels, and working on each detail.
Joanna's journey began as a buyer at Fenwicks in London before she opened her own boutique in Crowthorne High Street.
Her work shines a light on sustainable fashion and promotes body positivity, making her clothing line more accessible.
Thus, her originality and dedication to sustainable fashion makes her an exciting designer to look out for.
