A choral society is set to perform a concert celebrating the works of 'English Masters'.
Wokingham Choral Society will hold its Autumn Concert on November 16 at 7.30pm at All Saints Church, Wokingham.
The concert will be headlined by Britten’s cantata, St Nicolas, which narrates the tale of the bishop of Myra, St Nicholas, also known as Santa Claus.

The choir will be led by musical director George de Voil and accompanied by pianist and organist Ben Giddens, alongside the Chameleon Orchestra.
The performance will also feature the Windsor Castle School Choir, under the direction of James Wilkinson, and renowned tenor Nicholas Madden portraying St Nicolas.
The performance is set to have it's own spin, as the audience will be invited to participate in singing two of the congregational hymns.

The programme will also present two anthems by Henry Purcell, 'O Sing Unto the Lord' and 'Jehova, quam multi sunt hostes mei,' showcasing Purcell’s mastery in blending intricate harmonies with expressive text settings.
The Windsor Castle School Choir will also perform pieces by David Bendall, Sir John Rutter, and Benjamin Britten.
Additionally, they will feature a piece by Errollyn Wallen, who was appointed this year by King Charles III as the Master of the King's Music, marking her as the first black woman to be appointed to this position.
