An Ascot hotel has been named one of the best hotels in the UK in the latest 2024 Michelin Guide.
On 1st October 2024, The MICHELIN Guide revealed the brand new One, Two and Three Key distinctions for the most outstanding hotels in the UK and Ireland.
This guide includes a mere 5,000 hotels across the world, rating them on their architecture and interior design, quality and consistency of service, overall personality and character, value for the price and a a significant contribution to the guest experience in a particular setting.
As a traveller, Coworth Park is not just a place to stay for the night, it is a full experience offering the very best quality service and facilities.
Although there are several Michelin Star restaurants in Berkshire and in the surrounding areas, Coworth Park is the only hotel to be recognised.
For the first time ever, the Ascot-based hotel has been awarded a two key distinction alongside 36 others around the UK.
Coworth Park, located on Blacknest Road, has been described as an ‘exceptional stay’ by the Guide.
They said: “The Dorchester hotels have, up till now, been an urban phenomenon. But lessons learned at the Plaza Athénée, the Beverly Hills Hotel, the original Dorchester in London, pay off in the Berkshire countryside at Coworth Park, the Dorchester group’s first country-house hotel.
“As a hotel it’s brand new, but the house is a stunningly well-preserved 18th-century Georgian antique, surrounded by 200+ acres of parkland — and, as it happens, it’s an equestrian paradise, with its own polo field, in a location that’s close to the racecourse at Ascot and to Windsor Great Park.”
The spa however has been praised as the hotel’s gem, with a modern glass front, half buried under a living roof. The interior consists of a gym, a swimming pool and a short walk away is the hotels equestrian centre.
One of the restaurants, which is located inside the grand manor house – Woven by Adam Smith – is a Michelin Star restaurant in itself.
Zoe Jenkins, General Manager of Coworth Park saide: "We are thrilled and deeply honoured to receive two Michelin Keys in this year’s inaugural awards. This recognition is a testament to the dedication, passion and hard work of our entire team. We look forward to building on this achievement and continuing to create unforgettable experience for all of our guests."
