Drivers across Wokingham have been alerted of a 12-week road closure as the next stage of the gas mains replacement project begins.

Starting on October 7, Binfield Road (between Twycross Road and Bean Oak Road) and Keephatch Road (between Binfield Road and Moores Green) will be closed until February 25, 2025.

This comes after current SGN works come to an end on Heathlands Road and Easthampstead Road.

In the new year, from January, 6 2025 to February 21, 2025, SGN will move onto Plough Lane between A329 London Road and Bean Oak Road.

This road closure will take place until Friday, February 21.

During the 2025 road closures when works begin on the A329 London Road, there will be times when multi-way traffic lights are in place.

Wokingham Borough Council said: “If you have any concerns, contact SGN's careline at 0800 912 1700 or email them at customer@sgn.co.uk.”
