An independent school in Ascot has been given the green light to build two outdoor classrooms.

The Licensed Victuallers School on London Road, Ascot, will build the space after the existing canopy and playhouse were removed.

These classrooms will be used by the reception year group, years one and two. The larger building would be located on the north-west side of the Junior School while the smaller would be located to the south-east.

Both would be made with glazed doors and have solar panels on the roof.

Developers Inception Planning argued that the classrooms would be of benefit as they would ‘provide security for all the resources that are used within the area’.

It is not known when work will begin.

Other parts of the Loddon Vale centre include Tesco Express, Pizza Hut, a pharmacy and Woodley Baptist Church.
