Have you ever visited a restaurant or café and wondered how clean and hygienic the premises are kept behind the scenes.

The Public Protection Partnership across Bracknell Forest and West Berkshire is now encouraging local businesses to display their scores online and within their premises.

Not only does this improve customer confidence but it also holds businesses accountable to ensure their premises and behaviour are of the highest standards.

Multiple new hygiene ratings have been awarded to restaurants, cafes and hotels across the borough over the past four weeks as we inch our way towards the holidays.

Food Standards inspectors visit businesses where they are inspected and rated from a score of zero to five.

This includes inspecting the hygienic food handling, condition and cleanliness of facilities and management of food safety.

Below are the local businesses that have been inspected and rated over the last month:

Five star

  • Great Hollands Bowls Club - Great Hollands Bowls Club South Road, Bracknell, (September 12)
  • Village Hotel - Bagshot Road, Bracknell, Bracknell Forest (inspected on September 13).
  • Eurest at Fujitsu - Fujitsu Lovelace Road, Bracknell, Bracknell Forest; (inspected on September 5)
  • Pizza Express Restaurants Ltd - 7 Eagle Lane, Bracknell, Bracknell Forest; (inspected on September 2)
