A new supported living accommodation project reached its 'topping out' milestone on October 1.
The project is part of the new Bridgewell accommodation, and the construction team celebrated its topping out ceremony.
The accommodation will consist of four apartments and aims to support adults with care and needs.
Each apartment will have five ensuite bedrooms, a communal lounge, a kitchen, a dining area, and an accessible bathroom.
The design of the accommodation allows residents to live in a small, personalised setting, while also providing opportunities to socialise.
Mayor of the borough of Bracknell Forest, Councillor Jenny Penfold, Councillor Megan Wright, and representatives from the council and Neilcott Construction, the construction company working on the project, attended the ceremony.
Councillor Wright said: "The council has been working with people with care and support needs, their families, and our partners in the development of this scheme.
"The new fit-for-purpose facility will provide accommodation that is better suited to the needs of the individual."
John Papworth, regional director at Neilcott Construction, said: "Neilcott is delighted to be working with Bracknell Forest Council to create this much-needed specialist accommodation.
"Sustainability is high on the council’s agenda, so this high-quality build is being delivered to BREEAM Excellent standards, using local supply chain partners to support the local economy."
BREEAM is a sustainability assessment method that is used to masterplan projects, infrastructure and buildings.
The build is expected to be completed in spring 2025.
A service provider for the supported living accommodation will be appointed in early 2025, following a procurement process.
