A Co-op store has been 'totally transformed' after a major makeover.

The shop in High Street, Crowthorne, reopened on Friday, October 25, after a programme of works and improvements.

The store, which supports more than 20 jobs, now offers an enhanced choice of fresh and chilled produce, meal ideas, bakery and dairy products, food-to-go, meal deals, wines, Fairtrade products, ready meals, pizzas, and vegan and plant-based products.

The store will see new services, including a new self-service laundromat, Costa Coffee Express, a photo booth, and parcel collection services through an InPost Locker.

An online home delivery of groceries will also be available through Just Eat and Deliveroo, with orders picked fresh in the store and delivered quickly and conveniently in the community.

Paul Pearce, Co-op store manager, said: "The whole team is delighted to have had the opportunity to invest in Crowthorne.

"The store has been totally transformed with a fresh and spacious new look and feel – it looks fantastic.

"We are really looking forward to welcoming our members and customers back into their Co-op.

"It is always our aim to operate at the heart of local life and we have worked to develop the range, choice and added services to serve and support our community, conveniently."

The transformation saw new flooring, ceilings, refrigeration as well as storage areas to enable the store to better serve and support the community.

The community can now return 'soft plastics' such as crisp packets, bread bags, lids from ready meals and yoghurt pots, biscuit wrappers and pet food pouches at the soft plastic recycle unit in the store.

This ensures all Co-op's own food packaging is recyclable through either authority kerbside collections, or the in-store soft plastic recycling.
