Wokingham's Poppy Appeal HQ will open, aiming to surpass last year’s £80,000 fundraising total.
Situated at 1 Bush Walk, opposite the Town Hall, the HQ will operate Thursday to Saturday, 10am to 5pm, offering a wide range of Poppy Appeal items and crochet poppies from Barkham Hookers Charity Group.
Collections will be conducted at Waitrose, Tesco in Wokingham, and Sainsbury's in Winnersh, with street collections on Fridays and Saturdays in the town centre.
Military vehicles will be showcased at Tesco on October 26 and November 2, and in Market Place on November 2 and 9.
Businesses wanting poppies at their workplace, or anyone willing to volunteer at the shop, can contact David Dunham on 07722 238214.
Nationwide Building Society will also have a display with various items.
