The owners of a new Wokingham café have said that it is thriving after opening the business last month.

Sandy Joseph, 47, from West London launched Coffee and Coach in the heart of the Hogworth Industrial Estate on September 23.

As a qualified life coach, Ms Joseph opened the business with the purpose of providing a calming and supportive environment for people.

Following on from the opening, the owner has praised the community for their support and positive response.

She said: “The response has been absolutely brilliant from everyone that has come into the café. We’ve had great reviews and the ‘walk and talk’ sessions have been really popular.

“People seem really grateful that we are here and we are so grateful for their local support.

“So far it’s on a positive trajectory even though we’ve only been open for a month. It’s doing what we hoped it would do and that’s creating a calming environment that encourages women to open up about things they normally can’t.”

Coffee and Coach holds one ‘Walk and Talk’ session per week where attendees complete a 5K walk around the area whilst being able to talk about difficult topics.

Multiple other workshops and sessions will begin in the new year including a menopause meeting for women and a session for abused women – which will start in the new year.

Customers have said that their favourite treats sold in the café include the delicious handmade tandoori chicken and fresh baguettes which are made on site every day.
