The owner of The Spud Wagon has spoken about their new ‘top secret’ location after the eatery’s sudden departure from the town centre.
The Spud Wagan opened on February 14, 2023 in Bracknell High Street to much excitement from local residents.
Despite its popularity, a decline in sales due to seasonal changes and “extortionate rent” in the Lexicon forced the business out of town.
On October 16, James Snowdon announced that the Wagon would be re-opening at a ‘top secret’ location in the town later next month.
“I’m really excited about the reopening,” said James. “Although I can’t disclose the location yet I can say that it’s near Bracknell train station and a very short walk from the town centre.
“Alongside the popular jacket potatoes and loaded fries, we are also going to be selling breakfasts, gourmet burgers and hotdogs.
“We're upscaling the menu to attract different crowds at all times of day, including late nights.”
Following the closure of the Spud Wagon in July, James has said that he has been receiving multiple message requests regarding its return.
He added: “I think that after thinking about what people are looking for, it will be better than before. The menu will be more extensive and we will be selling barista quality coffee for people making their way to and from the train station.”
Over the last few months, the Spud Wagon has been out and about at multiple events offering different varieties of food.
Many people have expressed their excitement that it will be returning to the town, bigger and better than ever.
It has been announced that the new and improved Spud Wagon will open again in the new location on November 29.
