STARTING school is a major milestone in any child's life as they begin their education and set off on the path towards their future.

And last month, thousands of youngsters across Bracknell and Wokingham began that all-important journey at primary schools across the county as joined their reception classes with new teachers and new classmates.

In the UK, most children begin school at the age of four and remain in full-time education until they are 18.

These 14 years are often described as the 'best of days of your life', where you discover your passions and interests, meet lifelong friends and connections and make memories you'll cherish forever.

To recognise this huge occasion, the Bracknell News is delighted to present to readers our annual My First Term supplement, to celebrate and highlight the Class of 2024.

Included in this year's edition are the following schools: New Scotland Primary School, Sandy Lane Primary School, Crown Wood Primary School, St Cecilia's Primary School, Easthampstead Primary school, Uplands Primary School, St Margaret Clitherow Catholic school, Bearwood Primary School, Crowthorne CofE Primary School and Warfield Primary School.

On behalf of us all at the paper, we wish this year's cohort of pupils, along with their teachers at their respective schools, the very best on their upcoming academic year.
