The Lexicon has announced that Dunelm will be opening a store in the Bracknell shopping centre.
The homeware retailer is expected to open in Princess Square in Spring 2025, creating 30 jobs for the area and attracting numerous customers into Princess Square.
Markos Kazittis, Dunelm regional coach, said: "We’re excited to be opening our new Dunelm Bracknell store.
"The team will be working incredibly hard over the next few months to get everything set up and ready to welcome the local community into our amazing new home."
The new store will stock a wide range of products, including bedding, lighting, rugs, and kitchenware.
Founded in 1979, Dunelm has expanded from a market stall in Leicester to a nationwide brand.
The shop is set to open in the former Boots unit in the Princess Square shopping centre.
Rob Morris, general manager at The Lexicon, said: "We are delighted to welcome Dunelm to The Lexicon, which will add something extra to our fantastic retail line-up.
"Bucking the national trend, our footfall grew by more than 10 per cent in the first half of 2024, and we expect the popularity of these new retailers to help increase visitor numbers even further in 2025."
Councillor Paul Bidwell, cabinet member for economy and regeneration, said: "It’s great news that Dunelm are coming to The Lexicon as they will complement the other retailers available.
"New retailers and strong footfall figures show that Bracknell town centre is continuing to go from strength to strength, which helps bolster our economy and local job opportunities."
The homeware store will join the growing list of national chains to launch their stores in the Lexicon.
This exciting news will come off the back of the up-and-coming launch of Popeyes Fried Chicken American fast food restaurant in the former Chopstix unit on Bracknell High Street.
The Lexicon saw a huge downturn of sales and footfall following the Covid pandemic causing many shops to close.
Four years on and the Lexicon have said that they are seeing a huge jump in sales in the town.
Shoppers come from neighbouring towns to frequent shops that have since joined the multi-million pound complex, which opened in 2017.
Many shoppers have praised the decision to welcome Dunhelm to the town centre calling it a ‘useful addition’.
After announcing the news of The Lexicon social media, Bracknell residents took to Facebook to voice their excitement.
One shopper said: “Now that is actually a really useful shop to be getting in Bracknell.”
Another added: “Something that isn't a coffee shop or an overpriced clothes shop? Halle-bloomin-lujah!”
