Bracknell Forest Council is offering free single bus rides on Thames Valley Buses and Reading Buses for the first three weekends of the month.
This means that on December 7 and 8, 14 and 15, and 21 and 22, passengers can board a bus in Bracknell Forest without paying.
However, those travelling out of the borough will need to pay for their return journey.
The initiative, funded by the Department for Transport, aims to make travelling easier in the lead-up to Christmas.

Andrew Hunter, executive director for place, said: "We’re delighted to bring back this Christmas offering with even more opportunities for residents and visitors to make use of our bus network for free.
"This offer is a small way to help ease financial pressures at Christmas, while also making it convenient to shop, eat out or visit some of the fantastic venues across the borough.
"If you’ve never tried our bus network, this is the perfect opportunity to see how quick and easy it can be to get around Bracknell Forest."
Both regular bus users and newcomers are encouraged to take advantage of this offer.
Passengers can plan their journeys using My Journey Bracknell Forest.
The initiative aims to provide a convenient and cost-effective way for people to travel around the borough during the festive season.
