A couple has shared how they transformed their home with a summerhouse and dedicated office space.
Robbie Scott and Hannah Williams, who both have hybrid working arrangements, bought a three-bedroom Cypress house at Bovis Homes' Emmbrook Place in Wokingham.
The couple was previously living in a rented three-bedroom house in Wokingham with their 11-year-old son Archie but wanted to buy their own home.
Mr Scott said: "We wanted to invest in our future together by buying our own place together.
"We wanted to stay in Wokingham to be near family and friends and so that Archie did not have to move away and find himself a new group of pals."
The couple had put in an offer on an older house but were left disappointed when the sellers took the house off the market.
Mr Scott said: "At that moment we decided to go for a new build because we knew then that the deal would be safe and the housebuilder would not pull out.
"We looked at a lot of houses and visited a few developments, but Emmbrook Place really stood out for us."
The couple were delighted when, as part of the purchase of the £555,000 house, Bovis Homes gave them a £6,000 cashback contribution and paid their £15,000 Stamp Duty fees.
Mr Scott said: "We used the cashback to buy new furniture for the new house and the money we saved on the Stamp Duty effectively paid for more than half the bill for the summerhouse.
"At the previous house, it was very cramped when we worked from home with one of us in a spare bedroom and one in the lounge.
"Now Hannah has a dedicated desk space in the spare bedroom while I have my fabulous garden retreat.
"The new set-up really helps us keep work life and home life separate, which is lovely."
As the couple bought the new home off-plan, they were able to choose the style and colour of the kitchen, flooring throughout and tiling in the family bathroom, en suite and downstairs cloakroom.
Mr Scott said: "As a family, we spend a lot of time in the kitchen/diner space, catching up at the breakfast bar or eating at the dining table looking onto the garden through the French doors and we love it.
"We got to choose blue kitchen cabinets, stone work surfaces and brown wood-effect flooring and it looks great."
In the garden, they created a patio area, set out a BBQ and seating area, have a nice lawn and created flower beds.
