Firefighters tackled a small fire that broke out in a Bracknell pub this week.
The Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service was called to The Admiral Cunningham pub on Priestwood Court Road in Bracknell on Monday, November 18 at 4:24pm.
Crews from Ascot, Wokingham and Crowthorne fire stations arrived to fight the fire, which was thought to have been caused by a tumble dryer.
A spokesperson said: “Upon arrival, crews found the fire on the first floor. Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel and one extinguisher to put out the fire, before using a fan to ventilate the area.
“Although the exact cause can’t be confirmed at this time, the fire is believed to have involved a tumble dryer.”
Owners of the Admiral Cunningham expressed their gratitude to the emergency services in a Facebook post to their customers.
They said: “A huge thank you to the amazing fire brigade that attended. These people are honestly so amazing and as a strange twist of fate they are all booked in for their Christmas drinks with us in a few weeks so we get to see them all again soon.”
The pub reopened on Tuesday, November 19.
