The Marquee Allstar Band are set to pay homage to the legendary Marquee Club in two special shows this December.
The Wokingham Music Club will host the band on December 13, while The Camden Club will follow suit on December 21.
Audiences can expect to hear a series of classic hits that made the venue world-famous, including ‘Whole Lotta Love,’ ‘Jumping Jack Flash,’ and ‘All Right Now.’
Both performances will also feature special guests.
Marquee Nites aim to revive the sound of the original London club, providing high-energy performances filled with the spirit of the 60s and 70s.
The Marquee Club, known for hosting music legends like The Rolling Stones, The Who, Jimi Hendrix, Cream, and Led Zeppelin, became a place where remarkable talent from all over the world would both learn and showcase their skills.
The Marquee Allstars Band is made up of a wealth of talent, including Mel Gaynor, who has played with the likes of Simple Minds and Elton John; Gus Isidore, who has worked with Marc Bolan and Peter Gabriel; and Toby Baker, known for his collaborations with Eric Clapton and BB King.
The upcoming Wokingham concert offers a unique opportunity to experience a slice of British music history in December with a setlist designed to keep fans engaged throughout the night.
