Residents have been asked to give feedback on Bracknell Forest Council's new Local Transport Plan.
The plan aims to improve transport across the borough until 2037.
The council's cabinet discussed the Local Transport Plan (LTP) on November 12 and it is now open for a five-week public consultation.
Residents have until December 30 to read the full plan and submit their comments.
The LTP is focused on making travel safer, healthier, and more sustainable.
These include a local cycling and walking infrastructure plan, the adoption of a Bus Service Improvement Plan, and the development of an Electric Vehicle Strategy which includes potential locations for EV charging infrastructure.
To support this, they will encourage greater use of the walking and cycling network, explore more efficient and smart use of the road network, improve EV infrastructure by providing more charge points, and explore changes in public transport provision using technology for more demand-responsive routes.
They also plan to work with schools to promote sustainable transport and encourage parents and pupils to use active ways to travel to school.
The council will provide safer routes to school with the adoption of school streets and work with the private sector to ensure these values are adopted across the borough’s workforce.
Building on this, and with a move to greater sustainability included in all of the council's emerging policies, a vision for the future LTP has been created.
The council hopes these changes will improve air quality, reduce carbon emissions, and create a more connected and inclusive borough.
As part of the public consultation, events will be held at libraries.
These will provide a platform for residents to discuss the plan and share their thoughts in person.
Paper copies of the consultation documents will also be available at these events.
Feedback from the community will play a crucial role in shaping the short- and long-term actions in the plan.
Councillor Guy Gillbe, cabinet member for planning, transport, and countryside, said: "Our new Local Transport Plan is a chance to make a real difference to how people travel in Bracknell Forest.
"We want to make it easier for everyone to get around in ways that are better for our health and the environment.
"Residents’ feedback is vital in helping us get this right."
