Multiple officers from Thames Valley Police were deployed into the Lexicon as anti-social behaviour week came to an end.
Anti-social behaviour week took place between Monday, November 18 and Sunday, November 24.
Raising awareness of anti-social behaviour, police increased their visibility across Bracknell and in particular Bracknell Town Centre.
On November 23, Thames Valley Police announced that several officers and PCSO’s were patrolling the area to deal with e-scooters and e-bikes.
It is prohibited to ride e-bikes and e-scooters within the town centre shopping complex and therefore officers are around to crack down on their use.
Although the rain discouraged many riders from The Lexicon, police did however catch a few criminals including a shoplifter who was caught ‘red handed'.
TVP Bracknell and Wokingham also announced that the force also assisted a vulnerable adult who was having a medical episode in The Lexicon shopping complex.
According to officials at Thames Valley Police, the force has increased the number of officers and PCSO patrolling to area to deter shoplifters and offenders who often frequented the area.
These officers were part of the Bracknell neighbourhood team and consist of PCSO’s and Thames Valley Police officers.
During anti-social behaviour week, officers from Bracknell and Wokingham were out and about at ‘Have your say’ events speaking to residents and raising awareness.
This week takes place across the UK every year.
