The number of cases of the Indian variant of Covid-19 in Bracknell Forest can be revealed.
Surge testing took place in parts of the town last week following a steep increase in the number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 in recent weeks.

The data shows that 75,953 confirmed and probable cases of the Delta variant have now been recorded in the UK – up by 33,630 (79 per cent) on the previous week.
In Bracknell, there had been a total of 256 cases of the Indian variant as of June 18.

That was 82 more than the 174 cases recorded the week before.
Elsewhere, neighbouring Reading have seen case numbers increase from 118 on June 3 to 366 on June 18.
