SOUTH Berkshire men suffered a first MBBO Regional Two defeat of the season and were knocked off the top-of-the-table as well after they went down 4-0 at home to Reading 4ths, writes Richard Ashton.
Jackson Corry-Duff, Huw Kimber, Ben Partridge and Oliver Sayer got the goals for the visitors to allow Sonning to move two points clear at the summit.
South Berkshire will hope to return to winning ways when West Hampstead 2nds visit Cantley Park on Saturday (3pm).
Division Two table-toppers South Berkshire 2nds made it six wins from seven games with a hard-fought 2-1 victory at West Hampstead 3rds.
Daniel Ray grabbed his 12th goal of the season and Mike Baylis was also on target for the visitors, with Jamie Page on target for the Londoners.
In Division Three, South Berkshire 3rds picked up an impressive 4-0 success at Sonning 3rds, while South Berkshire 4ths overcame Gerrards Cross 2nds 3-0.
South Berkshire Terriers were 3-0 winners at Henley 4ths in Division Eight West.
After a week off, 10th-placed South Berkshire ladies return to Trysports Three Counties League Premier Division Two action at Oxford 2nds on Saturday (11.30am).
